Bunjum Bundjalung Nyangbal Language on Jagun is delivered within principles of First Nation People’s rights to access continuous opportunity to revoice and revitalise their Language, Traditions within their Cultural Identity and Heritage. Bundjalung Nyangbal Language is central to the local Community as it strengthens connection with Culture & Identity and supports improvements in the well-being for our Aboriginal People.
Bunjum Project supports the local Aboriginal Community rights to continuous opportunities to be active, engaged participants in building on Community Bundjalung Nyangbal Language Program on Country within our local Aboriginal Cultural Knowledge, Heritage, Traditions to reclaim, re-talk, re-practice, face-to-face and shared local Nyangbal Language to wider audiences using various creative-digital-art-forms.
The Project Language Speaker and Team have developed a number of specific Nyangbal Bundjalung learning resources, virtual recording on social media pages, at events, school and community places. We continue our community language program targeted at participants need ie in group, individual class, and online modes.
Our Team is continuing language training and upskilling and connection with other Aboriginal Language Speakers across the Bundjalung footprint.
Activities and Programs
Bundjalung Language Classes (Ballina)
Each week during the school term a weekly language class is held on Thursdays from 10am-12pm.
